BRENTWOOD, Tenn./WHARTON, N.J. (May 7, 2013) - 247Sports and All American Games are proud to announce today that we have signed a long-term agreement for 247Sports to be the official online selection partner for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and the U. S. Army National Combine.
The Colts' record-setting rookie QB Andrew Luck played in the 2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the nation’s premier high school football game, featuring 90 of the best high school football players in the nation. The game is held each January in San Antonio’s Alamodome and broadcast live on NBC.
“The Army All-American Bowl is the premier event in football recruiting,” said Shannon Terry, Founder and CEO of 247Sports. “It is an honor for us to be involved with such a prestigious and iconic event, and we look forward to doing our part to continue its great history and tradition.”
The game has seen 238 participants drafted by the NFL – 63 of which were first-round selections and 49 of which were selected to the Pro Bowl. Notable alumni include Adrian Peterson, Andrew Luck, Jamaal Charles, Patrick Peterson, Ndamukong Suh, Eric Berry, Percy Harvin, Brian Cushing, Reggie Bush, Tim Tebow, D.J. Fluker, Barkevious Mingo, Sheldon Richardson and many more.
“The U.S Army All-American Bowl is far more than just a game,” said Terry. “The lessons learned on and off the field during that week are invaluable, and all the prospects involved will make memories they will carry with them long after their football careers are over.”
”We are thrilled that 247Sports has joined as the online selection partner of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Their team’s collective expertise and knowledge of the high school football scene is unparalleled,” said All American Games President, Rich McGuinness. “We are excited about the exposure and coverage they will bring to the Bowl game, the Army National Combine and all the athletes participating.”
In addition to the game, bowl week activities include community engagement activities; player and Soldier Hero challenges, a welcome BBQ; an Awards Dinner; U.S. Army Coaches Academy (featuring a seminar and on-field coaching clinic with NFL and NCAA Coaches); and the opportunity to meet and interact with soldiers from around the country.

When sports fans think of “college football recruiting” there are two events that come to mind. One is “National Signing Day,” and the other is the “U.S. Army All-American Bowl.”
The game has a rich history with 238 participants drafted by the NFL – 63 of which were 1st round selections and 49 of which were selected to the Pro Bowl.
Rivals.com was the game’s previous online selection partner -- a partnership we executed during our time managing Rivals. We have a great history working with Rich McGuinness and Doug Berman and are honored and privileged to be part of the Bowl and other events managed by All-American Games.
The game is much more than an All-star festival, it stands as a beacon in the development of young athletes and serves as a positive experience that Army All-American Bowl alumni take with them beyond their days on the gridiron.
