The 'Wow' Factor

During our travels in 2012, the analysts at 247Sports got an up-close and personal look at top prospects in every part of the country.

Greg Bryant is headed to Notre Dame.

Physically, some of those recruits simply blew us away.

With that in mind, today we offer up our "On The Hoof" team -- a list of players in the 2013 class that are physical specimens and truly have that "Wow" factor, whether one sees them getting off the bus, in pads or just standing in a crowd. Although these players are quite talented, they made this list for how they look, not how they project.

Without further ado, here's the squad ...

OFFENSE

QB- Max Staver, Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy -- A Florida commit, Staver has the ideal bid-bodied, low-fat frame for a pro-style quarterback.

RB- Greg Bryant, Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage -- From head to toe, the Notre Dame commit is solidly built. He looks college ready -- ready to take a beating and dish out a beating.

RB- Jordan Wilkins, Cordova (Tenn.) St. Benedict -- If the 6-feet-1, 212-pound extremely chiseled Auburn commit has any body fat, we haven't found it.

OL- Derwin Gray Washington (D.C.) Friendship Academy -- A 6-feet-5, 295-pound Maryland pledge, Gray is a physically gifted lineman that is well-proportioned from head to toe.

Alabama commit Derrick Henry definitely stands out in a crowd.

OL- Grant Hill, Huntsville (Ala.) -- An Alabama commit, Hill has the "country strong" look to him, from his tree trunk legs to his massive upper body.

OL- Ethan Pocic, Lemont (Illi.) -- Pocic, who will play for LSU, is 6-feet-7 with long arms and carries little bad weight.

OL- R.J. Prince, Albemarle (N.C.) -- The best word to describe the North Carolina commit? Big. He is every bit of 6-feet-8 and 310 pounds.

OL- Laremy Tunsil, Lake City (Fla.) Columbia -- The nation's No. 1 offensive tackle has the prototypical tackle body that is both long and lean.

TE- O.J. Howard, Prattville (Ala.) Autauga Academy -- The Alabama commit and No. 1-ranked tight end is 6-feet-5, 221 pounds of absolute muscle.

WR- Ricky Seals-Jones, Sealy (Texas) -- Unlike most 6-feet-5 receivers his age, the Texas A&M-bound standout isn't lanky. He's already filled out at 230 pounds.

WR- Laquon Treadwell, Crete (Ill.) Crete-Monee -- The proverbial man amongst boys, Treadwell already looks like an NFL receiver.

ATH- Derrick Henry, Yulee (Fla.) -- A no-brainer to make this squad, the Crimson Tide pledge is a running back trapped in the body of an NFL defensive end.

The Longhorns are getting a physically imposing player in A'Shawn Robinson.

DEFENSE

DL- Chris Jones, Houston (Miss.) -- The Mississippi State commit, who is tall with long arms, blows you away physically, and the 6-feet-5, 260-pounder probably isn't done growing.

DL- Robert Nkemdiche, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson -- This squad wouldn't be complete without the country's No. 1 prospect, who has arguably the most powerful-looking lower body of anybody in the class.

DL- A'Shawn Robinson, Fort Worth (Texas) Arlington Heights -- The barrel-chested Texas commit has huge shoulders and looks like he would win any hand-to-hand battle on the line of scrimmage.

DL/LB- Jonathan Allen, Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge -- Pictures of Allen, an Alabama pledge, tell the story. Simply put, this guy is ripped.

DL/LB- Kendell Beckwith, Jackson (La.) East Feliciana -- Beckwith, who could play on the line or at linebacker, already has the physique of an NFL linebacker thanks to his big lower body.

LB- Reginald Carter, Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett -- The massive legs of this Georgia commit might be the most impressive in the class belonging to someone not named Nkemdiche.

LB- Reuben Foster, Auburn (Ala.) -- The country's top inside backer is built like a tank from the shoulders to the knees.

DB- Tray Matthews, Newnan (Ga.) -- This Georgia-bound safety is about as chiseled as any defensive back in the class, and he still has room to grow.

DB- Jalen Ramsey, Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy -- If you were building a corner from scratch, you'd want him to have the Southern California commit's body. Excellent height. Great length.

DB- Max Redfield, Mission Viejo (Calif.) -- Redfield looks exactly how a safety should. The 6-feet-3, 195-pounder has the ideal frame with excellent length.

DB- Eli Woodard, Voorhees (N.J.) Eastern -- The Ohio State cornerback commit not only possesses idea size [he's 6-feet-1, 185 pounds] but is pretty jacked up.

Specialist- Cole Mazza, Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty -- An Alabama long snapper commit, Mazza is a big kid that is built like a top-flight linebacker.
