Monaca (Pa.) Central Valley five-star wide receiver Robert Foster shocked just about everyone in attendance at his press conference on Friday when he chose Alabama over Pittsburgh.

Roughly 200 students, media, family, school staff and friends packed the cafeteria at Central Valley to see Foster announce his college decision.
After the Panthers landed five-star Dorian Johnson, it looked like they were in the drivers seat to land Foster in what could have been a marquee class for Paul Chryst as they prepare to enter the ACC.

Foster's mother Sherrice Clements also addressed the crowd and she thanked former and current Central Valley players for helping shape her son and making him the man that he is today. She thanked them all for working together when Monaca and Center merged to form the school that it is today. She called it the best school in Beaver County.
Ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 2 receiver and No. 23 prospect overall, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Foster has been to nearby Pittsburgh many, many times in the past including for his official visit the weekend of Nov. 16. Foster has been to Alabama three times going back to the spring including his official visit over the weekend of Oct. 26.
According the 247Sports, Alabama currently has the top ranked recruiting class in the SEC and it ranks as the second best class by mere percentage points in the entire country behind Ohio State.
As a senior, Foster caught 45 passes for 756 yards and 14 touchdowns, while adding another 67 rushes for 549 yards and 12 scores. A two-way player, Foster had 67 tackles and four interceptions.
