Early Semper Fi selections impress

The roster for the 2013 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl presented by the United States Marine Corps is taking shape as multiple highly-rated prospects and commitments to major programs are already confirmed.

Top247 cornerback Cole Luke is one of the more highly-regarded prospects on the roster for the 2013 JuniorRank Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. The game is set for 9 p.m. (EST) Jan. 4, 2013, at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.

Four of the quarterbacks committed to play in the game are ranked inside the Top247 and the defensive backs, featuring four-star cornerback Cole Luke, Alabama commit Anthony Averett and Oklahoma commit Hatari Byrd, looks exceptionally strong as far as the initial list of confirmations is concerned.

Several initial selections were honored during a ceremony earlier this month in Los Angeles.

The selection committee is continuing the process of filling out the roster and there will be constant updates moving forward until it is complete.

The second annual game will be held at 9 p.m. (EST) Jan. 4 at the Home Depot Center near Los Angeles and will be televised nationally on the NFL Network. Last year’s game including several players making a big impact on college football this season, including Georgia running back Todd Gurley and Oklahoma State quarterback Wes Lunt.
