Domingo leads USA to win

Domingo is a smooth wing shooter.

The USA 17U National team came out victorious in its opening round game of the World Championships behind the hot shooting of Stephen Domingo.

In an 89-67 win over Australia, Domingo, who is a Georgetown commitment, led the USA with 17 points on 5-8 shooting from behind the arc. He also grabbed five rebounds.

2014 center Jahlil Okafor was right behind him with 16 points and five rebounds.

Bouncing back from a toe injury, Jabari Parker went for 11 points and a team high eight points.

Guards Conner Frankamp and Joel Berry were the other double digit scorers for the USA. Frankamp scored 13 along with a team high five assists. Berry went for 10 points.

The USA takes on the Czech Republic in its next game Saturday in Kaunas, Lithuania.
