Bio
An Indiana All-Star and IBCA first-team All-State performer, Etherington committed to Indiana in 2009, two years before graduation. He played in the same Indiana Elite AAU program that produced, among others, current teammates Jordan Hulls and Cody Zeller, as well as future Hoosiers Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Yogi Ferrell.
In his freshman season, Etherington played a mostly behind-the-scenes role, earning praise from his teammates for his work as a scout-team player and from his coach for his persistent improvement. He scored eight points — a career high — in his first college game, a blowout season-opening win against Stony Brook.
