Bio
June 2011: Carter is a physical player that really understands the "art" of setting and playing off of screens. To this point Carter is much better suited to excel in a structured setting like a high school or AAU tournament game rather than a camp-like setting. Carter thrives in pick-and-pop situations and showed he can be effective hitting the open, mid-range jumper. He also has an impressive explosiveness to the rim when jumping off of two feet. Carter's basketball IQ is at a high level, which is a key reason why he's on the receiving end of assists for easy scores. Defensively, Carter is not yet quick enough to defend a true small forward on the perimeter, and isn't quite strong enough to muscle up against a bigger player on the low block. His development as a defender will likely dictate his effectiveness at the next level.
