Bio

Signed with Arizona on Nov. 9, then tweeting, "I got to admit feels really good. Truly blessed."
Travel Team: Oakland/Drew Gooden Soldiers

May 2011: Ashley has all the physical tools, but has struggled at times with his back to the basket and especially against double teams on the low block. However, at the Nike EYBL in Los Angeles, Ashley silenced all doubters and proved why he belongs among the nation's elite. Ashley played with a fire and passion not yet seen from the 2012 prospect, resulting in an explosive, energetic 34-point outburst on 15-of-19 shooting. He then backed that showing up with three more solid efforts against strong competition. Ashley could more lower body strength to help him score over either shoulder, but counters that with a strong, all-around face-up attack that he uses to get from the mid-range or high post straight to the rim. Ashley has excellent bounce and fast-twitch muscles, plus a feathery touch out to about 15 feet. If he can add just a tad more "brawn" to his overall game the type of dominating play we saw from Ashley in Los Angeles will likely result in more dominating performances night in and night out.

8/23/11: Ashley has narrowed his choices to Kentucky, Arizona, UCLA and Oregon.
