HIGH SCHOOL: Darius English won Georgia's AAAAA Defensive Player of the Year honors by the AJC....First team Class AAAAA All-State selection as a junior...coached by Kyle Hockman... named to the PARADE All-America team... also plays basketball... was four-star recruit, the 20th-best defensive end and the 22nd-best player in Georgia by 247Sports.com... was a high school teammate of Carolina signee Nick St. Germain and current Gamecocks Rory Anderson and Marquis Roberts... selected South Carolina over Arkansas among others.
