Travel Team: Tennessee Travelers
May 2011: Hicks was a solid, steady performer at the Nike EYBL in Los Angeles. He's added muscle to what was a 170-pound frame just a year ago, and uses his added size to his advantage. Hicks can elevate over a defender or simply go right through them and finish with contact. On the perimeter, Hicks has excellent shooting range and touch, and has become a much more well-rounded offensive scorer in the past 12 months. Defensively, Hicks fits the profile of a shooting guard that can defend any of the perimeter positions (including small forward), and displays solid footwork when moving laterally to cut off the dribble drive.
