ON BOOKERT: The first Florida State basketball player from the state of Alaska...graduated Anchorage West High School in 2011 (a year early) and chose to spend a prep school year at Impact Basketball Academy in Las Vegas...considered to be an outstanding shooter and an even better passer...named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the State of Alaska as a senior...in earning the honor he became the fourth player from Anchorage West to earn the honor including former Duke star Trajan Langdon...a two-time All-State First Team selection as a junior and as a senior, he was named the Class 4A State Player of the Year and the Cook Inlet Conference Most Valuable Player as a senior...the first two-time All-State Class 4A pick in high school basketball in the state of Alaska...saw his stock rise during the summer of 2011 as he played extremely well in the Fab 48 Tournament in Las Vegas...did not play on the AAU circuit during the summer of 2010...decided to attend the Impact Basketball Academy in order to further his game for one year before enrolling at Florida State in the summer of 2012...
AT ANCHORAGE WEST: Graduated from Anchorage West High School in 2011...the Gatorade Player of the Year in the State of Alaska as he averaged 25.0 points, 8.0 assists, 7.1 rebounds and 3.6 steals as a senior...named the 4A State Player of the Year, an All-State Class 4A First Team selection and the Cook Inlet Conference Most Valuable Player during the regular season as he helped lead the Eagles to the berth in the state championship tournament...played in the Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches Senior All-Star game following his senior season...scored a season high 31 points in the fourth quarter of the Eagles' 78-62 win over Chugiak during his senior season...finished two steals shy of a quadruple double with 33 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and eight steals in an 88-70 win over Eagle River during his senior season...led Anchorage West to a State Tournament Championship during his sophomore season and to a runner-up state championship finish during his junior season...the Eagles finished with a 20-7 record and into the third round of the Alaska State Athletic Association state championship tournament...the Eagles defeated Palmer and Service High Schools in the first two rounds before falling to Bartlett High School in the third round...
