2011: Farmer began his 2011 freshman season, his first year at USC, as a backup wide receiver, then moved to backup tailback midseason. He also played on special teams, including returning kickoffs. Overall in 2011 while appearing in 4 games (California, Notre Dame, Oregon, UCLA), he ran for 15 yards on 5 carries (3.0 avg.), caught 4 passes for 42 yards (10.5 avg.), returned 3 kickoffs for 59 yards (19.7 avg.) and had 2 tackles.
