BEFORE OREGON — Played for head coach Land Jacobsen at Phoenix College, where he was named second-team all-ACCAC and second-team all-WSFL in 2009 … Had 16 tackles and seven sacks in a season cut short by injury … Attended Valley Christian High School in Chandler, Ariz … VCHS went 12-0 in his senior season (2006) before falling to Thatcher HS in the state championship game … As a senior, Remington and the VCHS defense limited opponents to just 164 points and held seven teams to 10 points or less … Credited with two blocked punts and one interception … Earned D-line MVP honors at Oregon’s football camp in summer of 2006 … Originally offered by the Ducks out of HS … Two-time all-state defensive end his final two prep seasons.
