COLLEGE: Redshirt freshman defensive tackle who sat out the fall of 2010 after undergoing shoulder surgery... considered to have good quickness and explosion off the ball... listed as a third-team defensive tackle entering the fall. 2010: Redshirted during his true freshman campaign... injured his right shoulder during fall camp and underwent surgery... spent the remainder of the fall rehabbing the injury. HIGH SCHOOL: Earned all-conference, all-county and all-state honors at Parkland High School in Winston-Salem, N.C., graduating in 2010... played for coach Deangelo Bell... participated in the East-West All-Star Game... also played basketball in high school... averaged nine points, 12 rebounds and six blocks as a junior on the hardwood.
