A four-star recruit according to 247sports.com. PrepStar magazine All-West Region player. As a senior he threw for 2,597 yards and completed 64.7-percent of his throws. Threw 32 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Rushed the ball 60 times for 455 yards and seven touchdowns.
Was a redshirt in 2011 but was Oregon's No. 3 quarterback and a member of the travel squad.
