Bio
COLLEGE: Sophomore fullback who is slated to compete with Dalton Wilson for the starting nod in 2011... has been a solid special teams performer... was healthy in the spring which allowed him to take more reps and help his play become more consistent. 2010: Enrolled in January 2010 after originally signing in the spring of 2009... delayed enrollment to rehab a knee injury suffered during high school... played in all 14 games on special teams... regular member of the kickoff return unit. HIGH SCHOOL: Played on both sides of the ball for head coach Mike Owens at Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) High, graduating in 2009... suffered a season-ending knee injury in the second game of his senior season... junior season was limited to the last five games due to illness. PERSONAL: Matthew C. Coffee is interested in the criminal justice program at South Carolina... brother, Glen, played at Alabama and was a third-round pick by the 49ers in the 2009 NFL Draft.
