Roth originally committed to Indiana under Kelvin Sampson, and honored his commitment when Tom Crean came to Bloomington. The leading career 3-point shooter in Illinois high school basketball history, Roth entered his senior season at Indiana averaging better than 40 percent from behind the arc.
