Graduated from high school one semester early and joined the Mississippi State football program in January 2009 . . . Solid two-way lineman from the highly regarded Georgia prep ranks.

Saw action in 11 games, playing on the field goal team . . . Also played on the offensive line against Memphis and Houston.
