HIGH SCHOOL: Jacquese "Shon" Carson was a two-sport standout at Lake City (S.C.) High School... also a highly-touted baseball player and could play for Ray Tanner's Gamecocks in the spring after being selected in the 44th round of the MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds... became just the third player in South Carolina history to tally 100 career touchdowns, joining former Byrnes standout Marcus Lattimore and former Lexington product Demetris Summers... helped his team to the third round of the Class AA state playoffs as a senior... played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas... earned the game's Offensive MVP award for South Carolina after rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and catching four passes... also played in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl... three-star prospect according to 247Sports.com.
