2011: Harris started the first 4 games (Minnesota, Utah, Syracuse, Arizona State) of his sophomore season at cornerback, but hurt his shoulder at Arizona State and was sidelined the rest of the season. Overall in 2011, he had 17 tackles, 2 deflections, an interception and a forced fumble. He missed 2011 spring practice while recuperating from a 2010 shoulder injury. Against Minnesota, he had 4 tackles and intercepted a pass near midfield to seal the win with 53 seconds remaining. Against Utah, he had 6 tackles, a deflection and returned a blocked field goal 68 yards for a TD at game's end. He had 5 tackles and a deflection against Syracuse and 2 tackles and a forced fumble at Arizona State.
2010: Harris served as a backup cornerback and played on special teams as a redshirt freshman in 2010. Overall in 2010 while appearing in 10 games (all but Oregon State, Notre Dame, UCLA), he had 13 tackles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 deflection, and also had a defensive PAT.
