2011 (Freshman): First true freshman quarterback in IU history to start and just the second to play (Tim Clifford played one half in 1977) ... one of just 12 true freshman quarterbacks to start nationally in 2011 ... started five games and played in nine ... completed 81-of-142 (57.0 percent) with 937 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions to go along with 426 rushing yards on 109 carries (3.9 average) with two scores ... in his five starts, went 68-of-120 (56.7) with 779 yards, three TDs and five INTs in addition to with 364 rushing yards on 85 carries (4.3) with one touchdown ... 426 rushing yards were second on the team and third among true freshman quarterbacks nationally ... made his first career start and completed 16-of-24 (66.7) for 197 yards and one touchdown with zero interceptions at Iowa ... also rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries (5.2) ... in his first home start against Northwestern, racked up 290 total yards ... threw for 169 yards with one score and added 121 rushing yards on 22 attempts (5.5) with one TD ... first IU quarterback to surpass 100 yards rushing since Kellen Lewis (2008) ... tossed for 174 yards with one touchdown and delivered 70 yards on the ground at Ohio State ... closed out the season with 224 total yards against Purdue ... completed 17-of-26 (65.4) for 147 yards and rushed for 77 yards on 17 carries (4.5) ... went 11-of-17 for 148 yards, rushed for 36 yards and scored on a 2-yard run against Illinois ... appeared for the first time in game two against Virginia ...
