Hook Interview

Hook Interview

  • Great interview, Dave. Curious, did he not want to talk about the team’s performance this season? Would love to hear what he has to say about the current state of the program and what he thinks can be done to get it back to a regional-bound team.

  • Discussion
  • Didn't ask about the past season because honestly, what does it matter? Titans didn't have a chance to even play one conference game. Winning the conference has been his focus from the start. Have a challenging non-conference schedule to battle test the team in order to prepare for the rigors of the conference.

We were more focused on the now and the future rather than dwelling on the past. There will be no national champion in 2020. There won't be any post-season teams in 2020. So honestly talking about a season that essentially never happened and doesn't matter was kind of moot.

  • I think it would have been fair territory and intersting to hear about what did go wrong. We are all fans of Hook and support him, the coaching staff and the program. We all had high expectations heading into 2020 given the new coaching staff and quality coming back. We will all root for a great re-start in 2021, but I for one would have liked to hear Hook’s thoughts on what went wrong and whether he thought it could have been turned around heading into Big West play. Thanks for a great interview in any case!
