    Ole Miss awesome!

  • So kicking State's ass in the regional ended that whole ALS game thing?

Godwin said he hasn't heard anything from NC State about dates for an ALS game. Said Avent hasn't called him. He wants to play. Indicated the schedule isn't set in stone, but they have 56 games already, so they'd have to move someone.

You'd think State not getting to host, in large part because of their absolute trash OOC schedule, would make Avent want to rethink things, but clearly not. Guy is a coward and a loser.

What a low class move by the NC State coach to say they are going to play a game for ALS then not do it and just make it up. Low class

we had 6 non-conference weekend series this past season (including the Leclair Classic). UCLA fell during our conference “bye” weekend. the schedule went from 2/15-5/18 (14 weeks....6 non-conference + 8 conference)

Columbia, William and Mary, Charlotte, and Leclair Classic gives us 4. I would have to think there will be at least one more non-conference weekend series , depending on how the calendar falls next spring

    Heh...

It sounded like a good deal but that could have also been more a Mudcats thing too....

  • Are the UNCW games a weekend series? Also, that is a tough KLC with Indiana also coming in.

  • Thats going to be a fantastic KLC tournament!
Can’t wait to get my season tix!

  • Surprised we’re not playing Michigan every year

They should definitely be here for the KLC.

I wouldn’t expect anything more than Low class from that school and that coach at that school. It’s crazy that we played literally twice a year for over a decade and then it rains and we don’t play anymore. It’s a complete cop out. Let them keep playing this trash Non conference and keep going 20-0 and then tank during conference play and let them wonder why they don’t host. Trash school, trash fans I hate I have to deal with them during basketball season. It’s like every time they win a game they won a national championship. Lol.

He made it sound like a midweek thing, not a weekend deal.

And Cliff said he thought the other two teams were Indiana and High Point, but he wasn't 100 percent sure (was not prepared for the schedule questions).

Yeah it's pretty hilarious really. Baseball is the one sport that we actually don't "need" the game against them, and you could make a reasonable argument they'd gain more out of playing us than we do, yet they still want nothing to do with it. If they had subbed out 2 OOC midweek games against the likes of Central (269 RPI), George Mason (260 RPI), Towson (253 RPI), or Tennessee Tech (237 RPI) for games against us even if they lost both it would have still improved both their RPI and SOS enough to have maybe hosted. Had they gone 1-1 (which shouldn't have been unreasonable if they are as good as they think) they'd have for sure hosted. This is the perfect example of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

You and I are not usually on the same page, but I have to agree with you on this one.

  • I guess the Charlotte series was done before Hibbs leaving and taking the asst. job at Wichita. Wonder how Charlotte went with the new hire. Seems to be a ok stadium in a good recruiting area. They used to win the A1O about every year but they haven't done jack since moving back to CUSA and adding football.

Exactly but their delusions of grandeur have them believing the hype that playing a game is our World Series. I was excited for the game in the regional for the very fact that they were dodging playing us. If we played home and home then the game in the post season would just be another game. They hate losing to us in anything and I just love us beating them in anything and seeing them pissed off. They are already looking forward to week 2 in the regular Season in football, gosh I would love to ruin their season for them. They are breaking in a new QB and new players at other positions, it’s a good way to sneak up on them. 1st game of the year and anything can happen.

I know, I’m saying they are looking ahead to week 2 bc they already have our game on aug 31 as a guarantee win based on last years results. I expect it to be a much more competitive game.

  • I Wish That We Where Playing Moo U This Fall But Avent is To Scared To Play Us

From my understanding, Loren Hibbs was likely on his way out regardless. Charlotte has hung on to very mediocre coaches for a very long time in sports they don't care about i.e. everything but basketball. The new AD recently dumped the softball coach of 25 years who had a similar record to Hibbs and hired an Ole Miss assistant. I wouldn't be surprised to see an SEC assistant to get this job, as well. The move across the board over there seems to be younger coaches and clearing out folks that have not really excelled, or sucked for that matter.

Very excited to have Ole Miss and Indiana for the KLC.

My only "gripe" under CG has been that I had hoped to see stronger fields in this tournament with his connections. This delivers and hopefully can get it moving to a similar field year after year
