Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen four-star safety Brendan Gant unveiled a Top 11 on Wednesday evening.

His Top 11, in alphabetical order, consists of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ohio State and Tennessee.

"I just want to start by thanking God for everything he's blessed me with from the past to the present and to everything he has planned for me in the future," Gant wrote on Twitter. "I want to thank all the coaches, staffs, and fans at the different schools who've recruited me that I've met over these last years and built relationships with. And lastly my very own support system of my coaches, teammates, parents, family and friends.

"It was hard and still is a challenging process, but I've narrowed down my options to 11," Gant continued. "Again, thank you everyone and I just ask that you all pray and push for me to be successful in life period. Thank you."

Gant, who recently participated in The Opening, unveiled during that event that he plans to narrow his list a couple times this summer.

“I’m going to come out with a top eleven then a top five after that and that’ll be who I take my official visits to in the fall,” Gant said in early July at The Opening.

Gant was previously committed to Alabama. He committed to the Crimson Tide on Dec. 21st of last year. He backed off that pledge on April 22nd.

FSU is considered the overwhelming favorite for Gant. They claim 89% of predictions on the Crystal Ball.

The Seminoles hosted Gant on April 22nd, the day he backed off his pledge to Alabama, and then again in mid-June when he visited during camp. He is expected back in Tallahassee on July 28th for Saturday Night Live.

“I want to get up there and enjoy myself. I’ll probably work out a little," Gant said of attending SNL. "I want to hang out with Akeem and Renardo and all those boys.”

Beyond continuously showing up on campus at FSU, Gant also has built a bond with new defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett. He has a long-standing bond with head coach Willie Taggart, dating back to when Taggart coached at South Florida.

“They bring a lot of energy to Florida State. They are bringing a new, younger energy, it’s more relaxed, fun and exciting,” Gant recently said of the FSU staff.

Clemson and Ohio State are two other top schools that Gant saw in the month of June.

Gant has previously stated that he is not in a rush to decision and one likely wouldn't come until closer to either the early signing period or some point after that.

“If not during the season, Under Armour or probably on Signing Day," Gant said at The Opening. "I was going to early enroll but I’m a four year player with basketball and I want to enjoy my senior year.”

The Composite Rankings rank Gant as the No. 114 player in the nation and No. 8 safety in the 2019 class.
