The Fresno State Bulldogs have added 11 new players to the roster on defense this fall, along with two more special teams players as well.

The biggest influx of talent comes on the defensive line. Washington transfer and Fresno native Ricky McCoy joins the Bulldogs as a defensive tackle after gaining experience in the Pac-12. Four freshmen joined the group this fall as well: Matt Lawson, Matt Kjeldgaard, Alexandre Dumais and Leonard Payne. Lawson, Kjeldgaard and Dumais were three-star recruits.

Another sizable group joins the linebackers this fall too. Three-star Menlo-Atherton linebacker Kilifi Leaaetoa and Fresno Sunnyside High School grad Sherwin King Jr. join the unit this fall. Junior college prospect Dorzel Hicks was a late addition, and Irvine's 6-foot-5 Rian Fields also joins the 'Dogs as a preferred walk-on.

Only one Bulldog joins the secondary this fall, two-star Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill safety Shawn Dourseau.

On special teams, Shane Cuicci joins the three-kicker battle in fall camp and Carson King adds depth behind starting punter Blake Cusick.

The Fresno State Bulldogs are currently four days into Fall Camp and will have their first practice in full pads on Wednesday.
