#6 Nevada at Colorado State

  • Unable to add links from the side at the moment, but Nevada plays at Colorado State tomorrow night. The Pack won 100-60 at home vs the Rams just 3 games ago. From Twitter it looks like they're giving away 4 game tickets if you buy a coffee from some local coffee and tweet a picture. So if you need a ticket to Moby, go get some free tix.

  • It’s a pitiful gym for a D-1 program but hope to be there depending on how bad the snow is.

    Moby? It’s not a gym. It’s a nice facility.

Was there last year. It’s tiny. It’s supposed to be an arena but it’s a glorified high school gym. Holds 8700 and built in 66’ and feels like it.

  • Basketball isn’t very big here. Even CU’s arena isn’t all that nice. Lawlor is better than both. Been to a game at DU too even smaller than moby.

Not to be a dick but the actual name is the Colorado state auditorium and gymnasium.

You're BOTH wrong, as Moby is an electronic musician. Duh! roflmao

  • DU's might be small, but it's pretty darn nice.

I'll be at Moby tonight even if I have to drive through a blizzard.

It is, just kind of shocking to see such a small arena I guess. They are having a tough year at DU. We’re 80/20 right now. Niece has bailed. Mother in law has bailed. Might just be my wife and son with me.

  • The weather is officially winter-awesome, which means the traffic is going to suck between Denver and Fort Collins. Leaving early is the order of the day.

    What about your wife's boyfriend?

Nah. He can’t make it. His wife has something planned. Wuss!

  • Well we’re out too. Not driving in this crap already have 3-4 inches at my house and snowing hard. Guess I’m a wuss too.

  • I'd lend you a snowmobile, but mine are down near Gunnison.

Thanks but that’s a bit far to go.

  • This game could get Caroline to the NBA. On fire from 3.

    Caroline 30
    Rest of Team 22

Defense hasn't been great, but they still look to be in control.

  • This game has been insane offensively. Defense is pretty poor, gave up 41 points in the first half. Jordan Caroline may not be human.

They’ve missed on some rotations and aren’t getting back and set fast enough. Gonna have to keep hitting shots tonight.

  • Trey Porter is getting worked. Everything is through Carvacho and he’s dominating that matchup. We can’t leave the shooters so porter has to step it up

  • Defense was pretty mediocre at best. Slow on transition tonight. Good thing JC was on fire from 3 in the first half.

  • And Colorado’s state deserves some credit. They played really hard and deserve credit for not laying down when they were on the verge of getting rolled again.

You just can’t get into a track meet with Nevada and expect it to go well.

  • And CSU made some adjustments to the Pack's defense on Carvacho. Brown and Porter controlled him by fronting him in Reno, so they lobbed over the defense tonight and it worked. The defensive performance will probably knock the Pack down a spot in the computer rankings.

They are a solid offensive team and Carvacho is nifty inside of 12 ft. They definitely have potential to be much better next year.

  • Thistlewood has a sweet stroke and plays his tail off. I agree that things are looking up for CSU.

My first thought when the TV crew mentioned Caroline getting the MW double-double record was that assuming he comes back for his senior season, it'll be Carvacho's next year.
