  • NC State replaces one 5-star Rubio LS with another. Kid definitely has the arms for a long snapper. (He's on the far right)

  • Long snappers can be 5 star?

  • Awesome! Welcome to the Pack, Joe!

  • Awesome. Welcome to the Pack!!!

  • 5 star determines him as a division one prospect from the long snapper camp.

  • Great get.....but it shows 0 stars on team recruiting. How does this count In rankings ?

    Great prospect, but to be cynical there’s 9 5*s and 52 4.5*s

How’s that cynical? Looks like one of the best (top ten) long snappers in the country.

  • Welcome aboard young man. Look forward to seeing you run with the Pack! Although i hope we rarely need your services! biggrin

according to rubios rankings, yes they can. 5* snappers/kickers are d-1 prospects. Anything less is d-2 and lower. Shimko is a 5* snapper

  • Love it, especially this kids name. Who doesn't love a guy named Shimko?

The first thing I did was laugh at those UNC homers who gave us shit when the previous LS recommitted as if it was a YUGE deal. Great day!!

  • Automatic precision on every snap of the game and year elevates confidence in the holder and kicker.

You know who else is a 5* Snapper? Raquel Welch, that's who.

Can't ignore any part of special teams. We know what can happen when something goes wrong. BTW, who is going to do our punting next year? Gill, or is Dunn going to do it all like Deraney did when he was here?

He was probably referring to Scout and Rivals rankings. A random specialist website where the top 62 kids are 4.5 stars and above is different. Great to get a good LS though.

Well, she is still hot even in her 70's-maybe just a 4* now.....

247 and rivals don't rank snappers and kickers correctly. So i don't really give a flip what 247 and rivals thinks about him. The top specialist guru in the business says hes a 5* snapper. So hes a 5* snapper

Following the advice of that specialist guru is partially responsible for a great deal of our kicking issues the last few years.

With that said, welcome to the Pack young man. The importance of quality specialist is easy to overlook until you don't have a quality option.
