Big Ten to play conference-only schedule in 2020

  • Discussion
  • See you in the playoff Oregon

  • Now we definitely can't lose a conference game!

  • better than no football at all.

  • Sounds much better than the entire season being canceled or postponed. Sucks we won't get to see Oregon get smashed by OSU again on national tv. Oh well, any football is better than none! Go Buckeyes!!!

  • So does this mean they only play the conference games that are currently scheduled? Or is there a possibility of other conference games happening to take the place of the non-conference games that will be cancelled?

  • Clemson's only tough game is @ Notre Dame. Watch them get out of that too. Come to think, if all Power 5 Conferences opt for this decision, where does that leave Notre Dame? Do they miss out on the season altogether?

  • Bummer!

  • So if a school has a home and home contract (e.g. MSU vs Florida), will they be rescheduled in the future or do they just cancel this year's game? Given MSU's late coaching change and no spring / summer ball, it's probably a help to not play @ BYU and Florida this year.

    Very good question

It was leak a few days ago .I'm still wondering if all the big ten teams will play ? It indicate that a couple would not.
  • All ACC?

  • Damn it. I live in Oregon too and def. was planning on going before Covid. 2020 can eat a bag of D**ks

  • What is the logic in this? What is the difference in Nebraska playing a road game at OSU vs. OSU playing a road game at Oregon? This isn’t a rhetorical question? What is the medical evidence behind this?

All just depends on the language of their contracts, and their future schedules. I don't think we even have room for an Oregon reschedule until like 2032

  • Notre Dame is screwed. 6 games total. Conferences will have 9 conference games + championship game if they get there. Even if the Irish win out there is no way they get in the playoffs if we are able to make it through the season.

  • Just win them all and we are in.

  • Good Decision. The BT has 14 teams so we will miss only one (Maryland/Rutgers) who should not be in the league in the first place. The next decision is whether there will be fans at the games.

  • Let me see Michigan on the schedule twice please

In what? If the B1G isn’t playing non-conference games, what makes you think there will be a CFP? And why would we fly to Atlanta, New Orleans, or Pasadena If we’re not willing to go to Eugene?

And WTF can Nebraska fly to OSU to play a game but Bowling Green can’t take a bus? WTF is going on?

  • Weak.

No reason the full schedule shouldn’t be played.

    There are about 134,000

  • Isn’t ND in the ACC?

  • Oregon will miss out...again.

  • Damn wiscy vs ttun right off the bat
