  • Yuuuuup.. can’t believe people are refusing to comply with this incredibly minor thing.

  • Yup. Best estimates 7% of the nation has been infected. Covid is the fire and it feeds on kindling which is every American. The only way science knows to stop the spread is

    1. Wear a mask.
    2. Social distance
    3. Wash hands often
    4. Don't gather in large crowds.

  • I like his mask better than mine. I look like 1980s porn star doctor actor in mine

  • Is this showing how the mask didn't work? Or how to improperly wear a mask?

How it doesn’t work. Add to the fact everyone touches their face and then handles other things, which makes it useless and actually worse for you

Ok. I'm on board then. My thoughts are most people wear them improperly (I don't just mean not covering their mouth). They aren't used to it, so they touch it 1,000 times. If social distancing, it is pretty much useless even if working. It takes more than just walking through an infected person's "spray" to get sick. You have to inhale a certain amount of particle which is different for every person.

I spent around 4 hours at Hollywood casino last Thursday. They required masks whenever sitting at a table. I had to touch my mask between every drink. Touch chips that others touched the hand prior. Most took masks off when not at table.

It isn't just about masks vs not. it is the way we are enforcing them in areas that don't make sense and inconsistently.

Bull crap. First you should not touch your face. 2nd how scientific articles do you want posted to counter everything you just said?

Exactly you shouldn’t touch your face. But when I go to the store and other places and watch people with masks on, you want to know what percentage of the time these people touch their face? 100% of the time. You want to know what percentage these people then touch other things? 100% of the time

    Exactly

Here we go again with the scientific research articles. MOST of all articles shared with me are about stopping spray when wearing them. Yep. I agree it does that some. Now show me some that show impact when people touch their face because of them or adjust them because most don't fit right.

Then show me articles that test walking by people at 6 ft away and impact of possible transmission.

I don't want studies of people in rooms judging how much spray comes out.

First the picture you referenced had this text associtated with it.

Images of the day: [Left] Anti-face-mask misinformation: If masks cannot stop the 10-micron drywall-dust particles, how will they stop the 0.1-micron virus?

First, the virus is attached to water droplets so the mask catches the droplets and the virus is held within the water drops.

Second, if you have ever seen a person sanding drywall, he is not 6' from his work and the fine dust just engulfs their face. It is recommended to wear a respirator when doing drywall or at least an N-95 mask.

Third science is learning that the virus has a very difficult time transmitting from surfaces. The worst would be to constantly touch surfaces then rub your face or pick your nose.

Lastly, please do research about the science behind masks and covid-19 I think you will feel much better.

What kind of masks are you talking about?

  • Here we go again. Same old useless arguments. If people can’t wear a mask properly, then it is time for lockdown. Don’t need to wear a mask in your house.

Except most transmissions and spreads occur inside the home so if you’re gonna wear a mask. Wearing one in your house would be first place to start

No! Where are you getting this information? The cult leader?

There are studies done on this. They showed it with Petri dishes. When someone coughed or sneezed without wearing a mask, the dish was covered with debris. While wearing a mask and sneezing and coughing there was nothing. Also, who would you rather believe, 100’s of scientists and doctors or Trump? Haha. Hard decision.

Already had a lock down. It was to get hospitals prepared and caught up. But that lasted longer than expected. Then the riots and protest started. Cases were going up but deaths down. Its all a game.

Again. Your study is on whether a mask helps stop spray. That does not show how much it reduces possible spread as just being sprayed on a walk by does not result in 100% transmission, but closer to 0%.

I'm tired of any time you people get a differing opinion on this subject you act like it is because I listen to Trump rather than do research like you do. My opinion has nothing to do with Trump. In addition, I'm pretty sure Trump is making his decisions based off information received from informed people on the subject too like all leaders in business and government do. They still all have to talk to the details. It doesn't mean they did all the research themselves.

  • Can find tons of them on indoor transmission. Hell New York 60 percent of patients stayed home
