Kavanaugh

Kavanaugh

    Let me rephrase, counselor.

Untrue. I had no issues with Gorsuch and he was not on "my team." Kavanaugh had what I believe were multiple credible sexual assault allegations levied against him and lied under oath.

OK - and the post I mentioned seems to be a pretty clear example of someone who wants their belief of those assaults to be validated, no matter the sumbaggery involved.

You then chastised Marty for ignoring sumbaggery in favor of having his beliefs validated, hence my comment about hypocrisy.

I really wish wish Republicans could learn from the Democrats and treat their opponents with respect and dignity. Take Susan Collins, for example, she has no worries about her safety and she has faced no hostility.

A Florida man was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot members of Congress if they voted against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“I can tell it seems I will be sacrificing my life for my country. But I am ready and will know who needs to be killed after the vote to put Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court,” Patrick wrote in a September 27 post that has yet to be deleted. “I believe democrats need to made to be afraid to do what they are doing right now and weak republicans that do not vote for him need to pay with their lives.”

  • I just feel so bad for Democrats! Such a peace loving bunch! They can’t play baseball safely in the open like the GOP!

  • "Take Susan Collins, for example, she has no worries about her safety and she has faced no hostility."

Really? Has Susan Collins received death threats and is not able to stay at her home? I didn't realize that was happening...

Really? This is the new normal—-as soon as this circus began it became strategy for both sides to talk about death threats, doxxing, and any other way they can assert victim hood while portraying the opposition as crazy lunatics.

  • Provoloney the type of guy that thinks both sides were equally bad in Charlottesville too. That’s baloney.

I have never said anything remotely close to that...ever.

  • ok. sorry Poncherello.

  • What's interesting is that the Federalist Society gave trump a list of 25 candidates that were not ranked. I heard an interview with a representative of the Fed Society where he said, to paraphrase, "no, trump could have taken any guy off the list and they'd be OK with the choice".

So if Kavanaugh was the "best" of 25, how horrendous were the other 24 candidates??????????

  • What makes you think Kavanaugh was the best of the 25. Has Trump shown any ability to pick the best people?

That's just a cover story to obscure the real reason for picking good ole Bart

O'Kavanaugh was not on the original Federalist list. He was a late add by Trump specifically to get him off the hook for Mueller related cases that will make their way to the Supreme Court.

If you put on your tin foil hat, you'll also see that Kennedy's son was the main guy at Deutsche Bank that gave Trump his dirty loans when no one else would.

Kavanaugh gets out of all his debt, and gets a nice new gig. Trump gets to pardon everyone under the sun including Kennedy's son iin return. Isn't it amazing how everything works out?

Rich, I never said "I" thought he was the best of the 25, just thinking out loud about the thought process that led trump to pick Kavanaugh from the list of 25 allegedly equally qualified people. Perhaps he was deemed to be the least independent thinker of the bunch, with a more easily malleable mind? Outright promised to support trump in all things?? Who knows???

I never believed that Kavanaugh built up 300K in credit card debt simply by buying Nationals season tickets for himself and his buddies. Lame explanation. Based on what his salary (about 200K?), perhaps he lived way beyond his means, or gambled, who knows?

Kavanugh brings to Trump the idea that a sitting President can't be indicted (not sure how that's an "Originalist" idea of the Constitution as the whole Declaration of Independence thing was about the King being above the law

  • Susan Collins received a letter with Ricin at her Bangor home.

  • If true, unforgivable.

Police are investigating. A senator receives a threatening letter that claimed to contain Ricin (just one of the many threats she has received at home) and that is your response? Wow...

    1) No, you said it was Ricin. All the credible media I have seen say it's a "white powder". So you lied. It may turn out to be Ricin; but as of now, that has not been determined.

    2) So what was the point of posting? What are you alluding to?

  • Booferello thinks he's being clever by implying "both sides" are equally bad. A common conclusion drawn by low inffffformation people...

Sorry, Desert. Didn't mean to upset you, just thought this is important to share. Peace and All Good!

Yes it is important and whoever sent it should be prosecuted. However, no one has said that it's Ricin. The other thing to stress is that we do not know the "motivation" for sending it especially if it is not Ricin.

Good points---we'll have to see how this develops.
