  • Happens when you recruit 10 wr's every class.

Imagine if Pittmans dad didn't threaten to transfer his kid.

Dominic Davis is another imo. How can you not use all that speed for something?

I can't remember the exact game but Davis had 2 carries for 15 yards averaging 7.5 yards a carry.

If you're getting 7.5 yards a run don't you think you should keep using him?

But good for Jones because he made it.

    Just like Wole...

  • Last I heard Wole was signed to the New York Football Giants.

  • Well, Wole has been a long shot his entire career so its nothing new...

  • He came to USC off a Tee Martin co-sign and then went to Tennessee on a Tee Martin co-sign. Martin was his position coach as well as the OC during his stint here. Let's just reiterate all that before the low info posters flood the board with their nonsensical, cornball takes.

He didn't get touches because St. Brown, Vaughns, Pittman, and others were better receivers. He got ample opportunities, many would argue too many, on special teams for years. Sometimes things just don't "work out" for guys.

He's straight-line. That works on KOR, where he was a starter for a few seasons, but overrated at WR, particularly if a guy doesn't have good feet/change of direction skills which I think Jones lacks. He lost his footing on several kickoff returns. It isn't a stretch to think that held him back at wideout.

Pittman, Vaughns, and ASRB were all better after the catch/with the ball in their hands in different ways. Pitt with size/strength, ASRB with better feet and more available space to use due better separation from superior route running along with former RB skills retained from his youth, and Vaughns with better short area quickness/jukes and stiff arm ability despite slower straight line speed and skinnier build.

All 3 had better hands as well. See Pittman's super elite catch rate, Vaughns elite catch radius and highlight catch gene, and ASRBs strong hands and sure handedness in the slot on both short and deep throws.
