Pro Football Focus released its second first-round 2021 NFL mock draft on Monday and once again it made USC offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker a first-round pick. Like its first mock draft, Pro Football Focus made Vera-Tucker the No. 30 overall selection, but this time to the Buffalo Bills.

Vera-Tucker announced his intention to enter the draft earlier last week.

One of the Bills' few flaws has been guard play, and Vera-Tucker would surely help with that. The USC lineman started at left guard in 2019 and was among the best in the country in pass protection, posting an 87.9 pass-blocking grade after allowing just seven pressures on 590 pass-blocking snaps.

He kicked over to tackle for 2020 and held his own for the first five games before Oregon's Kayvon Thibodeaux — who you’ll hear a lot about in 2022 —handled him in the Pac-12 Championship game with six quarterback pressures.

Despite that, Vera-Tucker still finished the season with an 84.2 pass-blocking grade and a mere eight pressures allowed.

Once again the NorCal native was one of five offensive linemen taken in Pro Football Focus' mock and the only interior offensive lineman.

Vera-Tucker has risen his stock considerably this year after playing left tackle for the Trojans, so much so that he's even been mocked just outside the Top 10. CBSSports.com currently ranks him No. 18 overall among prospects and the No. 4 offensive lineman.

The former four-star prospect started all 13 last season at left guard, his first season as a starter. Vera-Tucker served as a backup in 2017 and redshirted his freshman season. Pro Football Focus has been high on Vera-Tucker all offseason after he graded out as the No. 1 pass blocking guard returning in college football. He was recently tabbed a first-team All-Pac-12 selection by the conference and Pro Football Focus.

"Vera-Tucker has made a seamless transition from guard to tackle this season," wrote analyst Anthony Treash. "The Trojan was one of the best pass-protectors among guards in 2019, generating an 87.9 pass-blocking grade. That has remained the case at left tackle, where he has earned an 85.8 pass-blocking grade this season."

The redshirt junior ranked No. 2 on Pro Football Focus' Top 10 2021 NFL Draft prospect performance list after USC's win over Arizona this season.

"I’m not sure I’ve seen better offensive line tape all season than what Vera-Tucker put forth against Arizona this past weekend. He’s still yet to allow a pressure on 113 pass-blocking snaps this season at left tackle. That’s even more impressive considering it’s his first year at the position after switching from left guard over the offseason," wrote analyst Michael Renner at the time. "He plays so under control, locating linebackers at an elite level on Saturday en route to an 89.0 run-blocking grade. Don’t be surprised to see him in the first round come April."
