USU Hoops 2019 Early Signing Period: Who We Are Expecting

  • Discussion
  • I have one item to note. I have learned that Landon Brenchley is going to be a walk-on and not a sign and send. So I have made the proper changes.

  • Great job Brian

  • Liam is in!

  • Cade Potter is now in!

  • Just to clear up any confusion about Landon Brenchley. Landon did NOT sign an LOI, he did however, sign an official USU admissions acceptance letter. Once the admissions letter is signed, returned and verified, Landon or any other walk-on for that matter, officially becomes a student at Utah State. That allows the basketball staff to announce him as "signed". This same practice goes for the football team as well.

  • The Aggies currently have the #1 recruiting class in the Mountain West Conference and #70 overall nationally. Alphonso Anderson and RayQuan Evans haven't even been evaluated yet! Anderson will likely be a 3* and Evans may climb into the 4* range.

  • Alphonso Anderson is now in!

  • I wish I had something definite in regards to RayQuan. At this point in time it's a guessing game. I'm hoping maybe the LOI just got hung up in the NCAA Eligibility Center or something. I'll report back as soon as I know something concrete.

  • I've learned that RayQuan is still 100% an Aggie commit. He wanted to have some family involved in his signing day experience and it just didn't happen in time to get his LOI in prior to the early signing period ending. I know it's a few months down the road but the plan is for him to sign with the Aggies and not entertain any other offers.

  • Although RayQuan Evans has decommitted, he still considers Utah State his number one choice. We'll see what happens once the spring signing period rolls around but I would be pleasantly surprised to see Evans end up in Aggie blue and white at this point in time.

  • With JK3 leaving it makes it even more important to get a scorer in here.
