Top247 offensive lineman Bryan Hudson turned down a lot of programs when he committed to Virginia Tech in April.

The 6-foot 4-inch, 292-pounder committed to Justin Fuente and Virginia Tech over offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Louisville, Kentucky, and more.

Since committing to the Hokies, Hudson hasn’t reported any new scholarship offers but that hasn’t stopped schools from trying to pry their way into the picture.

Each attempt has been met the same way, with a polite no thank you.

“I’ve had schools still try to get me to visit, but I’m 100-percent committed to Virginia Tech,” Hudson said following the Blacksburg Bash on Sunday.

Hudson, who is no stranger to Virginia Tech’s campus, returned on Sunday and had an “amazing” time back in Blacksburg.

“It was amazing! I had an awesome day,” he told 247Sports. “We got to take some pictures in Lane Stadium in jerseys, then we went to eat, then we got to go into position meetings for a few minutes and talk with Coach Vice, me, Jesse (Jesse Hanson), Will (William Pritchard), and Walker (Walker Parks – 2020 offensive line target) about offensive line play. Then we went a played some basketball and some other games. We ended the day with a hype video and Coach Fuente talked to the group of recruits.”

With three of the four offensive linemen on campus already committed to the Hokies, Hudson spent a lot of time with his childhood friend, 2020 offensive tackle recruit Walker Parks.

The Lexington (KY) three-star recruit holds nine early scholarship offers.

“He said he love it,” Hudson said about Parks. “I think he really enjoyed campus and the whole program and the coaches.”

The highlight of the day for Hudson was spending time with the offensive linemen and Coach Vice.

“Spending time with them was awesome,” he said.

With football season right around the corner, Hudson is planning to return to Virginia Tech early and often to see his future school take the field.

“Hopefully for the home opener,” he said about his return to Blacksburg. “Definitely going to make a few night games this year too.”
