I've known Desmond Doss's story since I moved back east 26 years ago when I picked up a Plain Dealer for Browns news and its one of the best MOH citations you'll ever read
If you're from Cleveland and don't know of him, shame on you

The wife and I saw it when it first came out. I thought it was a great movie. Thought Vince Vaughn was a strange pick for the sargeant at first, but did a decent job.

I tried watching it last week, but my HBO On Demand was all wonky. I do have a hard time taking that Garfield dude seriously though.
Edit: was able to catch it today. Yea that guy had some balls. I read a quick bio on him, I must have missed what the Cleveland connection is...
