  • Cavs are at home against Philly

  • The Sixers will start Al Horford, who had a rest day when these teams played in Philly on Tuesday. The Sixers have lost five games in a row on the road, but four were out west.

The Cavs have had two days off to work on some things. Unfortunately, Larry Nance Jr is out while the Sixers add Horford, so advantage Sixers in the personnel department.

Ante Zizic is back from his foot injury and just in time with Nance going down. I don't expect a lot since he hasn't played yet this year, but if Ante and TT can tag team on Embiid and try to wear him down it will help.

Three pointers will be key. In Tuesday's game the Sixers were 8-for-38, which kept the Cavs in the game. The Cavs were only 5-for-21, which cost them a win in a one-point loss. The Sixers are shooting 33.8% on 3's, just below average. At that percentage they would have made 13 three-pointers rather than 8, so the Cavs caught a break. Hopefully they'll be cold again tonight.

The Cavs rank 26th of 30 in 3-point percentage, an area that really needs to improve.

The Sixers are coming off a 127-119 OT loss to the Thunder Friday night in OKC so they may be a little tired. They gave up 20 points in the 5-minute OT period. Simmons played 46 minutes and fouled out. The Sixers don't have much of a bench. In 53 minutes their bench scored 11 points.

They've lost five road games in a row and should be tired. On Wednesday they got beat by 4-7 Orlando when they got outscored 32-15 in the 4th quarter. The Sixers starters play heavy minutes. They're talented up front but their coach doesn't trust their bench. I think the key is for our starters to play their starters pretty even and have our bench win the game.

  • Cavs getting obliterated so far in the 3rd. The Sixers were apparently embarrassed by their performance last time, and now we are down by 30 halfway through the 3rd quarter and the Cavs have 6 assists while Philly has 23. The starters have been abused but the bench has been horrific, with Zizic somehow posting a -15, Delly and Porter -11 and -10 in 5 minutes
