Can/will we keep Hunt?

If you trade for William's you're getting a premier player at the position for at least four years. If you draft one, it's a crapshoot. Take the proven talent.

Williams is an aging player with an injury history. See Vernon, Olivier. There are pros & cons to each situation. I lean towards building through the draft because that is what the best organizations typically do.

  • Extremely dumb take by Chris Rose. If the Browns wanted to part with OBJ they'd be able to find 1 contender who offers a 1st rounder minimum. AB quit on the Steelers in a must win game, demanded a trade, generally acted like he was on drugs all offseason, and wanted a brand new contract and the Steelers still got a 3rd&5th (he is also 4 years old than OBJ). The immortal Brandin Cooks was traded for a 1st round pick, Twice !

Not sure why he thinks Hunt is gone. The Browns can keep him next season for minimal investment and finding ways to get both Chubb/Hunt involved is the 1 good thing Freddie has done this season. The benefit of having Hunt as your 3rd down/pass catching role is that if Chubb gets hurt, we have a proven bell cow RB ready to fill that void. Where as a DukeJohnson type wouldn't be able to do that.

  • Browns aren't going to give premium talent away
    1. Hunt has been a sizeable investment of trust and faith - from both parties and I think that goes a long way
Also think having hunt and Chubb is something that can work
They aren't selling OBJ for pennies on the dollar nor are they going to give up on an injured and frustrated talent like Beckham based on this season of multiple issues.
Both will be in Orange and Brown in 2020

Yes, they both will be here. Too much talent to let them slide and we will never get back enough picks and players to justify OBJ being moved.

Cleanup the playcalling/OC, get healthy and get your azz to OTAs and TC. Play the starters for a couple series in the pre-season.

    Give it one more year.
