I have a strong feeling Eagles taking last playoff spot

  • I think they run the table and we lose one of our last two games. The game I am most worried about is the Lions game. On paper we should win, but after 40 years of watching this team implode they give me little confidence. I hope I am wrong.

  • My friend you must be a long time Viking fan lol

  • Sad but true. This season is setting up for another Cardinals game type ending like when Josh McNowan hit Poole in the end zone on 4th and 21 with no time left on the clock. That knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs and sent the Packers in. I could see a crazy last play lose to the Bears that gives them the #2 seed and knocks the Vikings out and lets the Eagles in. Crazy how Vikings fans spend hours coming up with the most crushing scenario that will end their season.

  • I have a strong feeling the Vikings will destroy the Lions. I'll be suprised if they don't enact the mercy rule for this one

  • You are wrong! The Vikes will charge into the playoffs, sweeping the Lions and the Bears. Skol!

  • I would like for the Vikings to win out and get the wild card spot. Go on and win the super bowl. Winning it all on the road and in prime time on tv. Make nfl history for years to come.

  • Oh man I hope not. I live in the Philly burbs and it's rough enough considering they beat us in the NFCGC and then won the SB in Minneapolis to top it off. Last thing I need is another way for them to rub it in.

  • Lions are toast.

Stafford is waking up all week in cold sweats, I hope his kids are getting him ice packs for Xmas.

The Kitty fans are to busy trying to get rid of JBC.

The D is finally 100% healthy and totally bought in.

True Eagles fans have no problem embarrassing you.

  • It looks like a Foles repeat story for the Eagles. Here’s how it will all play out. Vikings beat Lions and Eagles beat Texans at home, keeping the Vikings a half game ahead of them with one game to play. In the final game, Vikings lose to Bears and Eagles beat Redskins, which puts the Eagles in the playoffs and eliminates the Vikings. The Eagles saved their season by beating the Rams in Los Angeles. Looking back, the two games that cost the Vikings was the upset loss at home to the Bills (Vikings were 17 point favorites), and the missed chip shot field goal against the Packers because the Vikings hold the head-to-head tiebreaker with the Eagles.

  • I don't think the Eagles will win out because they will lose to the Texans and Foles has nothing to do with it, the Texans are simply a better team and they will be ready for the Eagles because they are jockeying for playoff spot. I think the Vikings will beat the Lions and Bears because they are a better team than the Lions and the Bears have a slight problem playing on artificial turf. The defense is great but it is slow, Dalvin Cook will make a difference in that game if the Vikings are healthy. Trubisky is not as good as many think, the Viking's D needs to take away his first read and contain him and they will get two interceptions easily. The Vikings cannot turn over the ball to the Bears and that is also a key to winning the game.

  • Texans will eliminate Philly on Sun because the Vikings are winning in Detroit.

If by some miracle Philly pulls it out it will not matter as the Vikings will have the revenge factor and will be at home v a Bears team that may have zilch to play for.

Plus the Panthers lost their sixth straight game and still have to play in New Orleans, they are toast.

Redskins are at Tennessee on Sat and fini with Philly.

Reality is if the Vikings win Sun at Detroit they are going to the playoffs.

  • The Eagles are not losing to the Texans. Not gonna happen. They got their swagger back. The only teams that will stop them in the playoffs is the Saints, in New Orleans or maybe the Bears, in Chicago, They will beat any of the other teams.

Ok, well guess what? Yep, the Vikes are winning out and down deep you know they are so it dont matter what the hell the Eagles do as their wings have already been clipped by the Vikings and others....

So just to get this straight, one game and the Eagles "got there swagger back?" Because what I see is a team that over their last 6 games are 3-3. They beat the Rams who are coming apart at the seems, lost to the Cowboys twice, been absolutely destroyed by the Saints, and beaten two of the NFL bottom dwellers at home. Call me old fashioned but one game does not a swagger make.

I'm betting the Eagles so called swagger gets taken away this weekend by a team with a true swagger, the Texans, who have won have won 10 of their last 11 games. Now that is swagger.

More talk. People have been shooting their mouths off all year about how we are going to run the table, etc, etc etc. It's time to step up and earn it. Enough talk. Talk is cheap!

It's especially cheap here at PT, since it's all we can do!

  • The Vikings have 2 "must win" games left.

These are the Vikings. What could possibly go wrong?

I have no doubt that this is what will happen. More likely to lose to the Bears rather than the Lions in my opinion.

  • Normally I'd join in your long time fan pessimism, but Stefanski has really proven to be a wild card, and the defense had a stellar game on Sunday. Stafford was on the ground repeatedly at our last meeting, and I only see a repeat.

Some will scoff but down deep in their hearts they know that this scenario fits like a glove.

Lol! Regardless of this, I refuse to let myself be sucked in again. Overconfidence and trash talk just leads to disappointment with this team. I'm just going to sit back and hope for the best.

  • I love how the Rams mediocre defense gets exploited by the Eagles and their mediocre offense and suddenly, they're back!

GTFO... We scored all over that sorry Rams defense just couldn't stop anything they did on offense. That offense isn't quite the same without Kupp and a banged up o-line. Goff looks rattled, Gurley has been slowed down quite a bit the last couple games.

The Eagles could win out, sure, but the Texans will be all over Foles and he will make some stupid throws. He doesn't have an Ajayi or a Blount to hand off to, he's got some undersized, barely average NFL backs behind him now. Its a whole different world. Then they have to go to Washington, a team that would love to ruin their playoff chances if the Eagles did somehow find a way to beat the Texans, or a Redskins team that beats the Titans and has just as much to play for as Philly.

  • I think we have a real chance at #5. Seattle faces a tough KC team and Arizona always looks to win division games.

  • Most (not all) of you guys said the same stuff about the Eagles this same time last year. How'd that work out? All I'm saying is don't underestimate them. At least they will not have home field throughout again.

  • Week 16...true predictions...not just as a Viking fan.

    Vikes beat Lions
    Texans beat Eagles
    Titans beat Skins

I believe that locks up the 6th seed.
