The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the offseason along with the rest of the NFL, and while fans surely miss seeing the black and gold suit up on Sundays, the players do get some well-deserved downtime. They can spend that time in whatever manner they choose. Most players spend the offseason working out so that they are already in shape when training camp begins. Older players who have to relocate for the season spend it with their families, while younger ones may go back to school to finish their degrees after leaving to prepare for the NFL Draft. But I think we can all agree that the best thing about the NFL offseason is the time that Steelers players get to spend with their beloved four-legged friends.

The Steelers happen to be a very dog-friendly team. Many of the players have dogs, some have many dogs, and most of them like to share their exploits on social media. These are, after all, the dogs of celebrities. They have the attitudes to match it. So, for example, when JuJu Smith-Schuster decides that his dog needs a timeout in his cage and that dog disagrees, he has the nerve to try a daring escape rather than just sitting still.

Not all Steelers dogs are so mischievous, but they all make the offseason a far more fun time for their owners. So take a break from football for a moment and enjoy the canine companions of some of the best athletes in the world.
