Since our esteemed guest last joined us, Ohio State secured commitments from the No. 1 Class of 2022 QB - Quinn Ewers - and the No. 1 WR - Caleb Burton - and both are from Texas.

    Is that good?

Duane Long is here to put current recruiting exploits in perspective before going deep on what Ohio State needs to do so big leads don't evaporate so darn quickly.

Ohio State is 4-0, ranked No. 3 in the country and is coming off a win of a top-10 team. Therefore, everyone in Buckeye Nation is of course ... complaining?

Yes, that's right. And you can add us to the list of spoiled brats because we wonder aloud on today's show what is wrong with the Buckeyes' defense this season and whether it can be fixed.

However, the good news is that Ohio State looks like an elite team -- especially an elite offense -- for large chunks of games. They also appear to have the Big Ten title on near lockdown.

The Buckeyes will travel to Illinois this Saturday, and Steve Helwagen joins Dave Biddle on today's show to talk about OSU's defense, how Kerry Coombs is doing as defensive coordinator, the upcoming matchup with the Fighting Illini and much more.

Third-ranked Ohio State beat No. 9 Indiana, 42-35, at The Shoe on Saturday to improve to 4-0.

    That's good.

But are the Buckeyes dealing with an identity crisis? Is this the squad that routinely builds four-touchdown leads early or the group that lets the opposition back in after halftime?

We asked The People's Champ - Matt Baxendell - and The Dean of Ohio State Recruiting - Bill Kurelic - for their esteemed insight. Both had plenty to say.

    * Collision course with Fighting Pat Fitzgeralds?

    * Future Ohio State quarterback Quinn Ewers ... just how good is he?

Jonah Booker joins Dave Biddle to talk all things Ewers, plus:

    * Give insights and predictions on Ohio State's top-10 showdown against visiting Indiana on Saturday.

    * Thoughts on family and close friends of OSU's players and coaches no longer being able to attend home games.

    * Might we see the debut of true freshman cornerback Lejond Cavazos tomorrow against the Hoosiers? And what can fans expect from him?
